Air Liquide supports a range of upstream oil and gas activities, supplying products, technologies and services designed to make exploration and production operations safer and more environmentally sustainable. We have developed an array of industrial, diving and specialty gas solutions to help customers in the upstream sector maximize oil and gas recovery and achieve cost efficiencies in a safe manner.
Air Liquide supplies a number of industrial and specialty gas solutions for the midstream sector to meet quality and regulatory requirements for transporting natural gas, refined fuels and chemical feedstocks. Nitrogen is vital to pressure transfer between storage vessels and for inerting LNG tankers. If your operations require specialty gases, exclusive cylinder inerting treatments work to extend the stability timeframe on extremely difficult mixtures, including those with very low levels of sulfur components, moisture, ammonia and oxygen as well as BTU standards.
Air Liquide’s full range of gases, equipment and total gas management solutions are geared to help reduce the cost of downstream oil and gas operations while enhancing safety, operational efficiency and quality. We supply hydrogen gas to produce low-sulfur transportation fuels and to upgrade low-quality refinery feedstocks. Air Liquide also provides extensive analysis solutions to evaluate virtually any mixture of hydrocarbons to ensure contamination-free delivery of feedstock calibration standards and pure gases. Our offer for the downstream sector includes a variety of specialty gases and nitrogen pumping services specifically designed to support turnarounds in refineries, as well as major maintenance and construction projects.
Hydraulic fracturing
Fracking fluids are sent down a wellbore at high pressure in order to create fissures in the underground formation in order to release trapped oil or gas. Nitrogen or carbon dioxide is used in foam-based fracking fluids.
